The business center P.A.N.G.A.E.A in the style of the Soviet Bauhaus opened after redevelopment in the center of the capital, said the chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
The building with an area of 8 thousand square meters is located on Bolshye Kamenschiki str., 9 in the Tagansky district.
The chief architect noted that such careful preservation of the building built in 1975 is a rare case for the city. It became part of the large-scale fee project of the same name, the developer of the BCL Real Estate project.
“After visiting the complex, I can say that the territory is in safe hands and is developing correctly. A large amount of work was carried out – the facades were restored, painted, the roof was repaired, all the glazing was replaced, excellent landscaping was done in the courtyard with an amphitheater. It is this integrated approach that the city welcomes,” he said Sergey Kuznetsov.
The project was developed by the architectural bureau dot.bureau. The inspiration for the reinterpretation of a typical building was the architectural direction of the “Soviet Bauhaus”. The appeal to the era of industrialism is very logical: the elegance, restraint and austerity of the lines of the building organically fits into the natural environment of the area, and the ribbon glazing revives associations with the past. The work was carried out in the period from May 2021 to August 2022.
With careful repair work of the building with an area of more than 7.7 thousand square meters, the facades were preserved as much as possible, only the number of entrance groups has changed: now there are seven. Ventilation, electrical, and sewer systems have been replaced, new heating mains have been laid, stairs have been expanded, and the reception area has been made spacious and comfortable.
In addition, the asphalt pavement around the building was replaced, and the territory was illuminated. The green amphitheater with ten wooden benches, lawns, flower beds and walking paths will become a new point of attraction for residents of the district. There is a small square in front of the amphitheater, next to which a cozy cafe with a summer veranda will open.
“All materials and components used in construction and restoration work are only Russian–made,” he added Kuznetsov.
